THREE chocolate bear dogs will be in Worcester tomorrow (Sat, April 12) raising money for charity with a chocolate themed event.
To tie in with national chocolate day three brown Newfoundland dogs will be in the forecourt of the Guildhall in Worcester city centre and at Cafe Bliss tomorrow (Sat, April 12) where fundraisers, dressed as their favourite Quality Street chocolates, will be selling chocolate with the possibility of winning a prize.
Taria Cavell-Chesterman, who is the owner of Archie, a hug Newfoundland dog, organised the event to raise money for the Veterans with Dogs charity.
She said: "I am doing a Charlie and The Chocolate Factory theme where people buy a chocolate and hidden inside they may find one of nine golden tickets. We have been donated lovely prizes by local businesses.
"As part of the fun and surprise the golden ticket winners will not know what they have won until they go and collect it
"The event is Chocolate Day in Worcester. From 10am until noon we will be outside Guildhall then at Cafe Bliss (Worcester Arts Workshop) for lunch from noon until 1.30pm. From 2pm until 5pm we will be back at the Guildhall.
"To go with the chocolate theme we will have three chocolate bears which are brown Newfoundland dogs.
"I have not set a target on what we would like to raise because any money raised will be so very gratefully received by Veterans With Dogs."
