THE Peopleton Novice Pony and Companion Dog Show is back for its 36th year next month.

Trophies and prizes are up for grabs at the popular village show being held on Sunday, May 18, from 10.30am at Lower Norchard Farm, Main Street, Peopleton, near Pershore.

In the showing classes there will be prizes for the best turned out pony and rider, best family pony or horse, best ride and fancy dress, show jumping, from lead rein to open classes, numerous Gymkhana games, all day handy pony and clear round jumping.

The dog competition starts from 12.30pm for family pets and will include most handsome dog or prettiest bitch, most appealing eyes and waggiest tail.

For the most serious enthusiasts there are Pedigree classes including any variety gundog, veteran, utility toy or terrier, working or pastoral.
