A WOMAN was left with cuts and bruises after she was attacked by a man at a Worcester pub.
The woman, aged in her 20s, was attacked in Lloyds No 1 Bar at The Crown in Crown Passage, Worcester city centre in the early hours of Sunday, April 13.
At some time between 12.10am and 1.30am, the woman was waiting at the bottom of the stairs inside the pub when she was approached by a man who grabbed her around the throat, dragged her across the pub, threw her on the floor and kicked her in the stomach. She reported the attack on Friday, April 18.
The assault left her with cuts and bruising to her elbow and pain to her stomach and head.
PC David Pengelly, who is investigating the incident, said: “The management of The Crown have been co-operative with our investigation, but we are very keen to find any independent witnesses.
“The assault took place in a crowded bar on a busy Saturday night, so I am sure others in Lloyds will have seen the attack take place and I would like them to come forward.
“Although the incident happened nearly two weeks ago, I am sure that if anyone witnessed the offence it would have stuck in their mind.”
PC Pengelly can be contacted via the non-emergency police number 101 or information can be passed on anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers (0800 555 111 or via their website : www.crimestoppers-uk.org).
