A MAN whose car collided with a telegraph pole in a crash in Twyning has died.

The 22-year-old man, from Tewkesbury, passed away last night (Thursday) in Frenchay Hospital in Bristol after being transferred from Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with serious head injuries.

Emergency services were called to the A38 just before 3am on Wednesday after a red Renault Clio left the carriageway as it was travelling towards the M50.

A 20-year-old man from Tewkesbury also in the car suffered minor injuries and the coroner has been informed.

Anyone who witnessed the collision who has not spoken to police should call 101, quoting incident 35 of April 23.
