THE Evesham Sea Cadets need local support to help improve the disabled access at its headquarters in South Littleton.
The group are hoping people will vote for them to be chosen as the recipient of a £25,000 Community Award from Engage, a mutual assurance company.
Jodie Cotton, lead cadet, said: "Evesham Sea Cadets has given me amazing opportunities. It would be great if we could allow others the same opportunities."
Should they be successful the cadets will spend £20,000 on materials and the rest on labour and they hope to get a access ramps, new bathrooms and provide disabled shower and toilet facilities.
"This work is long overdue," said Commanding Officer Keith Field. "But to get the money we badly need people to vote for our project."
To vote to support the cadets visit engagemutual.com/foundation/projects/improving-the-disabled-access before May 31.
