FAMILIES of all ages are promised a fun weekend at the upcoming Asparafest, which is taking place later this month.

This year CBeebies Mr Bloom will be returning to the stage for the event, which runs from Saturday, May 31 to Sunday, June 1.

The two day festival celebrates all things Asparagus and is a family friendly combination of music, food and fun activities and attractions.

Mr Bloom will be leading the fun on Saturday and his CBeebies stable mate Stefan Gates will be bringing his Gastronaut Live show, packed full of inspiring, explosive science and wild food adventures on Sunday.

There will also be a range of activities for people to do including Junkfish Arts & Crafts, EveryBODY dance Aerial Theatre Show, The Lovely Bugs, AnimalMania Zoo, TuttiFrutti Hula, the Wychavon Get Active Roadshow, a climbing wall, cake decorating, willow weaving, storytelling, body zorbing, clay modelling, barn owls, falcony, a fun fair and swingboats, vintage engines and classic cars, Samba Tots workshops, Bhangra workshops and of course Gus the Asparagus Man.

There are also two music and dance stages, a real ale and cider festival, cookery theatre, street food, food stalls, and lots of Vale asparagus.

Tickets for Asparafest are on sale now from £6 and profit from the tickets sold will be donated to the Evesham Bell Tower Appeal.
