The event, which takes place on Monday, May 26, will this year follow the theme of heroes and villains and see people dressed up as their favourite goody or baddy parading through the town.

The main procession will leave Pershore Town Football Club at 1pm and the evening concert will begin at 6.30pm with half hour performances starting with Rock Band Prism, then at 7pm musical songstress Charlii Harrington takes to the stage, followed by Garry Allcock Big Band, Elvis Tribute Act - Andy Kelso, Garry Alcock Big Band again.

The event will end with a firework display, which has been partially funded by a Lottery grant presented to the carnival for £6,850.

The procession will be led by Carnival Queen Lucy Jones and Carnival King Corley Frost.
