EVESHAM shoppers will be offered a taste of summer this weekend (17 May) at a local opticians.
Staff at the Specsavers store in Bridge Street are holding a beach-themed cake bake to raise money for the Royal National Institute for the Blind.
The team will sport sunglasses, shorts and sarongs on Saturday while customers waiting for sight tests will be offered refreshing non-alcoholic cocktails.
CT Wong, store director at Specsavers in Evesham, said: "Our staff are busy baking this week to make sure we raise lots of money for the RNIB.
"We hope that the sun will shine upon us and Saturday shoppers will get into the seaside spirit and pop by to buy a cake or two."
The RNIB is a charity and membership body of and for blind people and those with sight problems.
The charity offers practical and emotional support to those who are losing their sight, are blind or partially-sighted.
