HUNDREDS of Worcestershire Young Farmers will be showcasing their talents at the 66th Annual County Show next Saturday (May 31).

More than 350 young farmers will be at the event, which is the highlight of the organisations year.

During the day ten Worcestershire clubs will compete in over 50 competitions from cake making to tugs of war.

The event, organised entirely by volunteer members, is being hosted at Brookhouse Farm, Ham Green, Redditch, and will be open from 9am with prize giving taking place at 5pm.

This year sees the arrival of a new club, The Vale Of Evesham YFC, who will be hoping to give last years winners Inkberrow YFC a run for their money.

As in previous years, the tug of war title will be hotly contended with all clubs trying to outdo the current National Champions, the Tenbury Wells Ladies Team.

Sarah Geggie, 2014 Show Chairman, said: "The County Show is the highlight of the Young Farmers calendar. It's fantastic to be see all the members showcasing their talents and it's also a chance for all the members and supporters to get together and find out what’s happening in their part of Worcestershire.

"There really is a something for everyone and we would welcome everyone in the local community to come down to Brookhouse Farm and see what YFC is all about.

"Everybody is welcome to come and enjoy the many different events and stalls. There will be an all-day BBQ, as well as a licensed bar."

Tickets are priced at £5 for adults and children under 10 go free.
