ONE of the world’s leading information security training and education companies has relocated its flagship course to Malvern.

The National Cyber Skills Centre in the Malvern Hills Science Park, Geraldine Road, will now deliver InfoSec Skills’ Practitioner Certificate in Information Assurance Architecture course after it moved from Manchester.

It also means the course will be offered as a live public class at the centre from Monday, July 28 to Friday, August 1

Debbie Tunstall, manager of the centre, said: “We are thrilled to be able to host the course and as a live public class for the first time. For InfoSec Skills to move their flagship course from Manchester to Malvern is a huge coup for the centre, Malvern, and even Worcestershire as a whole.

“The move shows that the centre is already putting both the town and the county on the map as a hub of cyber excellence and can only mean good things for the future, as more and more businesses, training providers and organisations become aware of our existence, providing a huge boost for the local economy.”

The centre, which is supported by employer body e-skills UK, delivers high-quality, assured training provision to businesses, education providers and cyber specialists in order to protect themselves against cyber-attacks.

The course prepares students for a career in security architecture and provides those already within the industry the opportunity to enhance or refresh their knowledge and, in the process, gain a qualification which is recognised by industry.
