POLICE are still calling for witnesses to come forward after a police car crashed while in pursuit of a suspected stolen car.

The marked Vauxhall Astra police car and a silver Seat Exeo hit a garden wall on the corner of Ombersley Road and Cornmeadow Lane, Worcester, at 11.15am on Sunday, May 11.

Both vehicles came to a rest in the front garden of a house at the junction and a 51-year-old woman had to be cut free from the Seat Exeo and was taken to hospital to be checked out for a slight injury.

Sergeant Stuart Allen said: “We want to build up a clear picture of what happened and we would like to hear from anyone who saw the collision or saw either of the vehicles being driven in the moments before it happened.”

The police officer was uninjured.
