A GROUP of ten friends from the Vale have teamed up to paddle, plod and pedal 45 miles around the county in support of St Richard's Hospice.
The team, who have called themselves, WTF Where's the Finish, will be taking part in the event later this summer.
But they have already started raising money for the Worcestershire based hospice with cake sales and fitness tests.
Sara Wild, of Windsor Road, Evesham, is one of the team members, who are a group of friends aged from 21 to 50-years-old.
"The event on Saturday, July 19, will see us paddle from Pershore to Tewkesbury on the river Avon, plod from Tewkesbury to Kempsey and pedal from Kempsey back to Pershore," said Mrs Wild.
"I am petrified. Obviously the raising money is the important part, the challenge is to have fun."
The group are hoping to raise £2,500 and hope their next fundraiser on Monday, June 16, at Evesham Leisure Centre will help towards the total. So far they have just over £1,000.
"We are going to do a challenge on the rowing machine," added Mrs Wild. "We will be in reception rowing from 9am until 9pm. Hopefully this will raise about £500.
And the ladies have already got the support of local business with a donation from JMB Polishers Ltd of £250 and 216 cakes from Dawn Foods for a sale held at the weekend, which raised £268.
There will also be a Sumo event taking place at the Gardeners Arms in Littleworth Street, Evesham, on Sunday, June 22.
