A VALE football team is continuing to impress on the pitch this season, thanks to a new team kit from M&S Simply Food in Evesham.
The St Johns Colts Athletic under 12s all-boys football team secured the new sponsored team kit after winning a competition to celebrate the opening of the M&S Simply Food Store at Evesham Shopping Park, and has already seen success on the field.
Mark Bishop, team manager, said: "We’re really pleased to be named the winners of this competition with M&S. The team looks really smart in the new blue and black strip and we’re proud to have the M&S logo on our shirts.
"We even won our first game wearing it 9-0 so hopefully this is the sign of things to come next season. I’m looking forward to the boys getting out onto the field and continuing to win more games wearing it."
Sean Phillips, store manager of the new store, added: "I was delighted to present the boys with their new kit and hope it continues to bring them luck."
