Hurry up for first-ever food walk around the Malvern Hills

First published in News

ANYONE wanting to take part in the first-ever Malvern Munch! Food Walk will have to hurry - just a few tickets are left.

The event on Sunday (May 25) is a six-mile ramble around the Malvern Hills, stopping off at various venues along the way to sample a variety of local food and drink, with live music along the way. The tickets, priced at £20, are available from the Tourist Information Centre in Church Street.

The walk is the latest initiative from Great Malvern Food Festival on Bank Holiday Monday, now in its fourth year.

Held in the grounds of Great Malvern Priory Church, it will be a day packed full of delicious events including cookery demonstrations, food stalls and street entertainment.

Acclaimed chef Felice Tochinni will be putting on cooking demonstrations with local schoolchildren, while Robert Swift will share the secrets of baking perfect bread.

This weekend also sees the start of the Malvern Walking Festival, nine days of events ranging from gentle rural rambles to strenuous hikes.

Although some of the walks are fully booked, there are still spaces on some of them, including the Worcestershire Walk in a Day on Bank Holiday Monday, and the Malvern Hills End to End next Saturday, May 31.
