A NEW district councillor has been elected for the ward of Fladbury in Wychavon.

The Conservative candidate Bradley Thomas was elected with 456 votes.

Clare Brown, for the Liberal Democrats, was second with 319 votes and Neil Whelan for UKIP was third with 234 votes.

The vote took place to find a replacement for the late Wychavon District councillor Tom McDonald, who sadly passed away on Tuesday, February 25 at St Richard’s Hospice, aged 79.
