A GROUP of Vale singers will be performing this weekend in support of the Evesham Abbey Bell Tower Appeal.

The Lygonian Singers will be putting on a programme of folk songs, spirituals and excerpts from popular American musicals in St Lawrence's Church, Evesham, on Sunday, June 8, at 7pm.

Last year the group gave the first concert in the church after the restoration of the building and this year, the singers and guests are presenting the event in support of the Bell Tower Appeal.

The concert from this talented local group of musicians promises to delight an audience in the restored church, which was also originally part of the Evesham Abbey.

Tickets are £10, to include refreshments, and are available at the Almonry, from Sue Ablett on 07871285606, with Alan Bees on 01386 443558 or at the door.
