FOODIES will be able to get their teeth stuck into the best produce the Vale has to offer when Evesham's food festival takes place later this month.

The annual event, which is run by Transition Evesham Vale, is taking place on Sunday, June 22, from 11am until 4pm, and is set to be bigger and better this year with stalls in the All Saint's Churchyard and opposite in the historic Vine Mews, both off Vine Street in Evesham.

This is the third Vale First Food Festival and as ever it is set to coincide with the Morris Festival.

Throughout the day there will be stalls brimming with fresh produce and a great number of local businesses displaying what they have to offer.

Paul Napper, new head chef at the Evesham Hotel, will deliver a live cookery demonstration, and Word of Mouth Cafe and JellyPickleJam Vintage Tea Shop will also be specially open to provide even more delicious delights.

But this time there will also be crafts and gifts alongside family entertainment and activities, including a climbing tower, juggling, face painting and bouncy castles and live folk and jazz music from local musician Griff Collins.

One of the organisers Lisa Whelan, of JellyPickleJame Vintage Tea Shop, said: "We are really excited about it. It's going to be bigger and better this year.

"This time it's coming up to the Vine Mews as well. There are craft stalls this time and a climbing wall for the kids and we have new food providers joining those from previous years.

"We are still championing the 30/30, so 30 percent of the food produce is from within a 30 mile radius.

"It should be a really good celebration of local growers and produce."

There will be free parking at the Merstow Green and Old Brewery car parks and for more information email info@jellypicklejam.co.uk or visit facebook.com/pages/Vale-First-Food-Festival/263369447171452.
