THE Malvern branch of Marks and Spencer got its year of support for the town's hospital off to a good start - thanks to a bath full of beans.
Staff at the store on Malvern Retail Park to turns on Saturday to sit in the tub of beans, and persuaded shoppers to hand over some £700 in cash.
The money will go towards the Friends of Malvern Community Hospital, which staff at Marks and Spencer voted to make their charity of the year for 2014/5.
Store manager Andy Oliver said: "It's a good start to our year supporting the Friends and we hope our other events are just as successful."
And the fundraising fun continues tomorrow (Saturday, June 14) when staff members will become living mannequins in the store.
