THIS is the police bear who needs a name ahead of a free festival in Worcester .

The competition is one of the highlights of the SOSFest14 on Pitchcroft on Saturday, July 12 between 11am and 3pm.

The winner will get the chance to open #SOSFest14 with the mayor of Worcester and tour Worcester Police Station with their school class.

To enter, cut out the entry form and take it to your local South Worcestershire Police Station and post the entry form to "Name the Police Bear Competition", c/o PCSO Kylee Berry, Worcester Police Station, Castle Street, Worcester, WR1 3QX or your chosen bear name and your details to your local Safer Neighbourhood Team (details on the West Mercia Website).

The competition is open to one entry per person and entrants must be a minimum age of five and a maximum age of 11.

Entrants must live within South Worcestershire Policing area. The winning name will be chosen by panel and the decision is final with no appeals.

If police receive a number of entries with the same name a winner will be picked at random from these.

There are other prizes to win on the day including tickets to West Midlands Safari Park, gift vouchers, gym passes and golf days.

In addition to this competition West Mercia Police will be running a number of competitions on the day and have prizes, which have been donated from various local shops and organisations.

Competitions include word scramble, best 11years and under emergency service fancy dress costume and guess the number of balloons in the police car, pro Laser speed gun races and a colouring competition.

Other features of the festival include a helicopter flyover, police dogs and police horses.
