EMBRACE your creative side while discovering a hidden gem in the heart of the city.
Worcester Arts Workshop is holding an open day on Saturday, July 5, to give people a chance to visit the Sansome Street arts hub to find out what goes on there.
A family day of fun starts at noon, with a cheerleading routine and musical theatre showcase by students of All Sorts of Performing Arts, followed by a chance for youngsters to join in a short workshop to discover their inner performer.
A spokesman for the Workshop said: "Don’t miss this chance to discover your creative side, enjoy the ambience of our wonderful building and courtyard, and see what your local community arts centre has to offer."
Tutors from the workshop will be giving demonstrations of all kinds of artistic pursuits and techniques during taster sessions which run until 5pm.
Children's activities will run all afternoon, including face-painting, drawing, colouring, pottery and making teddies’ clothes, while Café Bliss will be open all day, with a barbecue and live music from 2pm onwards.
Entry is free, although a small charge may apply to some of the workshops.
