VISITORS to Sudeley Castle and Gardens will be greeted with a surprise when they see the newest arrivals at the landmark.

That is because a herd of alpacas have moved into the grounds, and visitors have the chance to take one of the seven on a trek around the estate.

As of Monday, June 30, the alpacas named Barney, Oscar, Mawgan, Mr C, Mo, Larry and Curly can be taken on one hour treks on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Sian Jocelyn, visitor services manager at Sudeley Castle & Gardens, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to offer visitors the chance to walk these beautiful and gentle animals and see glorious views of the castle from afar. Places are limited so we encourage people to book fast."
