THE chairman of the organisation running Worcestershire Royal Hospital has been re-appointed to the role for another two years.
The NHS Trust Development Authority has appointed Harry Turner as chairman of Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust – which also runs Kidderminster Hospital and Redditch’s Alexandra Hospital – for another term.
Mr Turner, who first took up the role two years ago, said he had seen some significant improvements across the three hospitals during his time as chairman.
“The quality of care we provide has improved, the satisfaction levels of our patients and staff has increased and patients really are at the heart of everything we do,” he said.
“I am proud to be part of the great team which is Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.
“Every day I work with dedicated staff who are committed to improving the care they give their patients.
“It is a privilege to work alongside them.”
But he said there remained a lot of work to be done with an ambitious project currently in progress to revamp care at the three hospitals, which is expected to go out to public consultation at the end of the summer.
