THERE is just over a week to go until the Badsey Flower Show gets underway.

This year's event is set to take place on Saturday, July 26, on the recreation ground in Sands Lane, in Badsey.

And organisers of the show, one of the Vale’s most popular, have announced the line up for this year’s event and it ranges from ukulele groups to canine agility performances.

Adrian Barradell, said committee member, said: "This year we have lined up a smashing mix of professional and local live entertainment which really includes something for everyone.

"The Badsey Flower Show is a fantastic value for money day out for all the family, so do put the date in your diary now."

A highlight of the event will be a canine agility performance by Gill Raddings Stuntdogs and Animals, trained animals specialist suppliers to the film, TV and advertising industry.

The show will also include fun music from ukulele group the Spa Strummers, who will delight music lovers of all ages with hits from the ‘30s, ‘40s and ‘80s.

And excerpts from the Kids From Fame musical will be performed by local youth troupe Phoenix Theatre.

The event will also feature a fun family dog show, outdoor go-carting for kids, a large marquee of exhibits and a traditional mix of stalls, side shows and food and drink stalls.

Gates open at 1pm and entry costs £3 for adults, £1 for kids and £2 for OAP’S, and the event ends at 5pm.
