WEST Malvern Road in Malvern was closed this afternoon after a crash involving a motorcycle and a coach.
The rider of the motorcycle was taken to hospital in Worcester with injuries described by police as "serious, potentially life-changing".
The incident happened just after 2pm and West Midlands Ambulance Service reported that an off-duty paramedic was first on the scene and began to treat the motorcyclist.
A rapid-response vehicle and an ambulance were soon on the scene, and the rider was treated for spinal injuries, immobilised and taken to hospital in Worcester. No other injuries were reported from the incident.
West Malvern Road remained closed for over two hours in the aftermath of the incident, although it has now been been reported reopened.
Officers liaised with the St James CE Primary School in the village in case the closure affected parents picking up their children.
