DANCING Morris Men and women created an air of magic in a Vale village this weekend as they visited for the weekend.

The Fox's Morris Men, from Cookley, near Kidderminster, were welcomed to the Fleece Inn, Bretforton on Friday night.

The group danced their way into the National Trust pub near Evesham where local troops, the Pebworth Morris and Belle d'Vain, also put on a show.

On Saturday the Fox's Morris headed into Worcester for the day, returning to the Fleece Inn on Sunday to end the weekend at the popular pub.

Landlord Nigel Smith said he thoroughly enjoyed the entire weekend.

"It was fantastic as always," he said. "We have hosted them now for ten years or so. Certainly Friday night was really atmospheric and the weather was lovely. We had music and dancing outside and an impromptu Ceilidh dance into the moonlight.

"The Pebworth Morris and Belle d'Vain danced early in the evening as the visitors arrived. It was one of the most memorable of the weekends.

"It just cam together so well, it's a great mix of people and it just seems to gel and there was a magic about it.

"They also have a church service at St Leonard's and to see them dancing across over the Fleece across the green is wonderful as well."
