THE man in charge of a national care agency with homes in Evesham and Pershore, has raised more than £4,000 after climbing the highest mountain in England and Wales.

Andrew Lennox, chief executive of Inclusion Care Limited, based at Brockeridge Park, Twyning, took part in The Snowdon Push, an annual event organised by the charity Back Up Trust which supports people affected by spinal cord injury.

He joined 15 people inTeam Equinox as they walked, climbed and pushed a team member who has suffered a spinal cord injury and is wheelchair dependent 3,500 ft to the summit.

“Back Up is a fantastic charity and I am very proud to have been part of the team," said Mr Lennox.

"In addition to providing needs based supported living and residential support to individuals with identified needs, Inclusion Care also provides care to a number of individuals throughout the UK who have suffered a life changing spinal cord injury and therefore I am pleased to have had the opportunity to be able to support the Charity who provides individuals with the support and encouragement they need to enhance their independence regardless of their disability; individuals’ stories are truly inspirational.

"It was a tough challenge and I was amazed by the efforts of the team."

The team completed the challenge in three hours 18 minutes, just two minutes behind the leaders.

This event has already raised £40,000 for the charity but there is still time to donate at justgiving.com/snowdon-push-2014.
