ONE of the winners of the Wychavon talent competition, the W-Factor, is set to have his first photography exhibition.

Johnnie Rabbette, who won in the visual arts category, will have his photos on display in the Showell Gallery, in the Civic Centre in Pershore, until Thursday, October 30.

His outstanding talent won over the judges back in March, and Wychavon has continued to develop this talent by supporting Mr Rabbette in his first exhibition.

He has shadowed professional photographer Paul Dyer to print and mount the work and also hang the exhibition.

Jenny Davis, arts development officer at Wychavon District Council, said: “We are very glad to be able to support Johnnie in his first exhibition.

"The W-Factor is more than just a competition; it is about supporting and creating opportunities for young people to develop further beyond the event.

"Other W-Factor finalists in other disciplines are also touring the region, performing at local events and receiving performance tutoring.”

The exhibition is called The First Three Years and shows a variety of work including seascapes, rivers, flowers and more abstract work.

Anyone can visit the centre, which is open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
