A WOMAN has been seriously assaulted in Stourport and two people have been arrested.
The 51-year-old woman was attacked on or near the footpath running alongside the River Severn between Stourport Boat Club and Redstone Caravan Park between 1.15-1.30pm yesterday (29 July 2014).
A 75-year-old man and a 61-year-old man have been arrested in connection with the incident. West Mercia have declined to reveal the nature of the offence for which either man was arrested or the nature of the attack itself.
Detective Inspector, Callie Bradley, said: “This area of footpath is popular with walkers and we are keen to speak to anyone who was along the stretch next to the boat club, rugby and football club and caravan park around the time of the incident or seen anyone acting suspiciously.”
