THE St Richard’s Hospice shop in Evesham High Street has celebrated its first birthday and a successful year’s trading.

The modern store stocks a range of pre-loved ladies’, men’s and children’s clothes and books, as well as a vast array of bric-a-brac, DVDs, CDs and games for computers and consols.

And it features a special section catering for the latest fashion in all things vintage with a selection of vintage clothing and vinyl records.

Since opening the refurbished store in the High Street a year ago, the shop has benefitted from twice as many visitors and three times as much income for the hospice, compared to its former Bridge Street premises.

Dan Corns, shops and commercial director, said: "We have always had such great support in Evesham and have had some wonderful feedback about our new look store.

"We are delighted that we have seen more people shop with us and donate their unwanted goods. We would like to thank not only our fantastic volunteers but also the local community in Evesham whose support have made this a very successful first year."
