A 24 hour bowlathon raised £1,200 for the Midlands Air Ambulance.
The event was hosted by the Defford cum Besford Short Mat Bowls Club on Saturday and Sunday, August 9 and 10 and was a great success.
David Yendole, treasurer of the club, thanked everyone for their support.
"Many thanks are extended to the members, their families, friends, members of other clubs, and local residents who supported the club in its first venture into this marathon, which is hoped can become an annual event."
