A CHARITY fancy dress party has been organised in support of Worcester's breast unit.

The party, organised by Sainsbury's in St John's, Worcester is scheduled to take place in the Bank House Hotel in Bransford, near Worcester on Sunday, September 7 in support of the Worcestershire Breast Unit Campaign.

Everyone is welcome and people can attend from 4pm with the party expected to last until late. Guests do not have to come in fancy dress but there will be prizes for the best fancy dress costume.

The proceeds will go towards creating the unit at 220 Newtown Road, Worcester. The charity, supported by the Worcester News since the launch of the campaign in October 2009, seeks to create a one-stop shop for breast care patients so they can get the majority of their treatment in one place, within the county and with their privacy, dignity and comfort paramount. Existing clinics are spread out over different floors at Worcestershire Royal Hospital which is not always convenient for patients. The new unit would be designed with input from patients so it better corresponds to their needs.

Tickets which cost £5 are available from the customer service desk at the store in Swanpool Walk, St John's or by contacting Louise Shaw on 01905 683800 or by emailing worcesterstjohns@sainsburys.co.uk
