PERSHORE Rotary Club has presented more than 100 books to school leavers in the town.
The club continued its involvement with Rotary Internationals World Literacy programme by presenting 108 primary school leavers with a copy of a personal illustrated Dictionary 4 Life.
The pupils from Holy Redeemer, Abbey Park and Cherry Orchard were delighted with the books.
President Malcolm Haden presented some to the children.
He said: "By providing a child with the chance to open a dictionary, we are also helping them open the door to a better understanding of the world."
This project is continuing to reach out to youngsters across the continents and is aiming to hit 200,000 book donations this year.
Each dictionary is inscribed with the recipient's name, making it a very personal gift that the child can keep.
