PEOPLE in Pershore living with dementia are invited to strap on their cowboy boots and join a special barn dance at the weekend.
The event at Pershore Town Football Club in King George’s Way on Saturday, September 6 has been arranged by Wychavon District Council in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Society and will kick off at 7.30pm.
The charity’s services manager Gill Read said: “We wanted to hold a fun, family-friendly event for younger people with dementia that is also open to the community as there are many people with dementia who could benefit from this event.
“Events like this show that it is possible to live well with dementia and we all have a role to play in that by creating dementia friendly communities.”
