DEAL or no deal, that is the question - or at least it will be - for an Evesham woman currently starring on the hit TV game show.

Leah Coulson, of Poplar Close, Evesham, will be answering the possible £250,000 question to host Noel Edmonds next month, on Wednesday, October 8.

The 20-year-old was 19 when she took part in the Channel 4 show, which sees contestants pick a box at random hoping it will contain the top prize of £250,000 before battling with nerves and the 'banker' to take home as much money as possible.

In the run up to her game she has been hitting the screens of people all over the country.

"A few people have started to recognise me, a man came up to me in Evesham the other day and asked, "are you on the TV?", said Miss Coulson, a spa receptionist at the Dormy House Hotel, near Broadway.

"I applied last year and they took about nine months to contact me. You have three interviews and then they decide. Then there was a two week process and they wanted me to go on. I had just started at the Dormy but they were fine.

Miss Coulson then stayed at a hotel in Bristol during March for about ten days filming three to four shows a day.

And even at the hotel she said you can't escape the show.

"Back at the hotel the banker's friends are watching you and they pick up on things you say and then mention it on the show.

"You meet lots of new people, maybe not people you would normally hang around with. It's nice you all muck in together.

"We all got on really well, and when it's your friend's games you really want them to do well."

Miss Coulson is now waiting to see her show and despite not sharing the outcome with anyone she said it was the time of her life.

"It's probably the best thing I have ever done," she added. "Through my experience on deal I feel I can achieve anything I want too, if you try and never give up you'll achieve anything you want.

"It's a mental and physical challenge you are exhausted by the end of it but it's completely worth it."
