STRIKER Mike Symons could be fit in time for Worcester City’s FA Cup tie against Greenwich Borough.
The former Gloucester and Oxford City forward has been nursing an ankle injury since being carried off in the 2-1 Vanarama Conference North victory at Gainsborough Trinity two weeks ago.
But he is making progress and did light jogging in the warm-up prior to Tuesday’s third qualifying round replay win over Leamington.
Manager Carl Heeley admits tomorrow’s match against Harrogate Town at Aggborough (3pm) could be too soon but reckons Symons is on course for the Greenwich clash.
“I think it is touch and go for the Harrogate game but I would expect him to be fit for the following week based on the improvement he’s shown to date,” he said.
Heeley has a centre-half conundrum to solve with Graham Hutchison back in contention following a head injury.
The Scot was forced off in the first match against Leamington last week and replaced by Wayne Thomas.
