TOILETS in Wychavon have been rated as top notch in the annual British Toilet Association Loo of the Year Awards.

This year three toilets have moved from gold to platinum, meaning nine loos in the district have been given the highest level of approval.

Every year, Loo of the Year judges make unannounced visits to Wychavon’s public loos to inspect and mark them against a number of factors, which together make toilets clean, safe and hygienic. The twelve Wychavon public toilets in Broadway, Droitwich, Evesham and Pershore were entered.

The top nine include, the High Street, in Pershore, toilets in Oat Street, the Abbey Park, Waterside, the Old Brewery and Viaduct Meadow, in Evesham, in Church Close and The Activity Park in Broadway, the Lido and St Andrew’s Square in Droitwich.

The remaining three toilets were awarded Gold standard, these are Abbey Park, Evesham, Church Walk, Pershore and Milestone Ground, Broadway.

The official awards will be presented on Friday, December 5, when Wychavon will receive confirmation of their league position.
