PERSHORE Police Station, which is to be bought by Wychavon District Council, will be converted back to offices and rented out.

The building, which connects to the district council offices at the Civic Centre in Pershore, is no longer required by the police, who use offices in the centre.

The decision for Wychavon to take on the building was made at a meeting of the council leadership in October and came after plans to sell the station, in Queen Elizabeth Drive in Pershore, were revealed in February last year.

The council hopes to acquire the premises by the middle of next year and convert to offices to rent out to its partner organisations.
