YOUNGSTERS living in Pershore are being invited to create a picture to show what they regard as utopia in their town.

The competition is the initiative of Bloor Homes which operates the Abbey Springs development in Three Springs Road.

Local schoolchildren can chose any aspect of what they regard as perfect, from spending time with friends in a nearby playground to enjoying a bike ride or walk or even having a meal with family at a favourite local restaurant.

To take part, children between the ages of five and 11 need to send their illustration, along with their name, age, address, contact phone number and a caption explaining where their perfect place in Pershore is, to: Bloor Homes Press Office, McCann, Communications House, Highlands Road, Shirley, Solihull, B90 4WE or email their entry to bloorhomespr@mccann.com

All entries received by December 31 will be entered into a competition to win book tokens worth £50, whilst the school of the winning child will also receive £200 worth of art equipment.

Mark Powel of Bloor Homes said: “It is our aim to create the perfect place in which people aspire to live. As such, Bloor Homes recognises the importance of not only developing quality and bespoke designs but also supporting the communities in which we build.

“We are, therefore, delighted to be able to launch a competition which not only involves local children but also has the opportunity to benefit a school in the local area.”
