KIND hearted children at Cherry Orchard First School in Pershore have been getting their hands dirty for those in need.
In the run up to Christmas the children wanted to give back and decided to plant 126 daffodil bulbs for the Marie Curie Cancer Care charity.
These bulbs will be looked after by the school council until they begin to sprout in spring.
When they flower they will be sold at a coffee morning and all proceeds will be sent to the charity.
The children enjoyed planting the bulbs even though they did get a bit dirty doing it.
Eight-year-old Maddison Steffens, who is on the school council, said: "We had to raise money for the Marie Curie Charity, so we decided to plant 126 daffodils and then invite parents to a coffee morning so they can buy them."
Lucas Gresham, also eight, added: "We had to make our hands really muddy but it was worth it."
And four-year-old Rowan Coaker said: "The mud was really soft."
