THREE men wielding baseball bats smashed up a car in Evesham, leaving one man with minor injuries.
Police are appealing for information following the incident, which happened at around 7pm on Sunday on Broadway Road.
The victims, a 50-year-old man and a 42-year-old man, had pulled off the A46 in separate vehicles, when they were approached by a man with a baseball bat.
The two victims managed to drive away and later saw three or four men run across the nearby roundabout into Broadway Road.
A short distance away, three men, all dressed in dark clothing with their faces covered, confronted one of the vehicles and smashed the windscreen, front passenger window and rear windscreen with baseball bats. They then ran off in an unknown direction.
The victim, a 42-year-old man, sustained minor injuries during the incident.
Detective Sergeant David Hall, the investigating officer, said: "We are taking this incident very seriously. Investigations are ongoing to help identify those responsible and to bring them to justice.
"We ask for anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area at the time of the incident to report it to police."
