GUITAR legend Gordon Giltrap will be officially opening a home furnishing store in aid of Evesham charity, The Tracy Sollis Leukaemia Trust, on Monday.

The new store will be an extension of the existing charity shop, which raises money for the trust, and is located right next door in the Library Arcade, Evesham.

The shop, which has the backing and support of local businesses, will sell donated furniture and home decorations.

All the funds raised through the sale of the goods will go to the trust, set up in memory of Evesham woman Tracy Sollis, who lost her battle with leukaemia nearly twenty years ago.

It's fitting that Mr Giltrap, a patron of the charity, open the store as he has also donated a lot of home furnishings to it.

Sue Sollis, Tracy's mum and founder of the charity, said: "This is an exciting new venture. I am so grateful to those who have already donated some wonderful items. We are delighted to be provided with a vehicle from Evesham Self Drive for all our deliveries and pick ups, we need only pay for the petrol."

The official opening of the shop will take place at 11am on Monday (January 12).
