MANAGER Carl Heeley described Worcester City’s second-half performance against Solihull Moors as “unbelievable”.

The Blue and Whites scored four goals after the break at the Autotech Stadium to hit back from a goal down to triumph in style.

“I thought we played quite well in the first-half and looked a threat on the counter-attack,” Heeley said.

“As the game opened up, we felt we had players that could stretch teams and it proved to be the case.

“I thought in the second-half we were unbelievable and every time we attacked we looked like scoring. We took the game to Solihull and they couldn’t cope with the pace and power we’ve got.”

He continued: “To score four goals is brilliant for us because we haven’t been the highest scorers in the division but, looking at Saturday, you do wonder how we’ve not been more successful in front of goal.

“I am delighted for all the boys and it’s another great win away from home.

“We were disappointed in our performance at Aggborough when we lost 4-1 to Solihull but it wasn’t about that. It was about trying to build on the last couple of games and we managed to do that.”

Two of the goals were Sean Geddes free-kicks from 25 yards and Heeley was full of praise for City’s top-scorer.

The Worcester boss, whose side remain 10th in the table, said: “The first free-kick had so much pace on the ball and it must have moved all over the place to go in off the post.

“With the second, I had a funny feeling something was going to happen. I’m sure the Solihull keeper will be disappointed but Sean hit the target, made the keeper work and you get goals because of that.

“Sean was back to his best and the strike that hasn’t been mentioned was the one that thundered off the bar. He was so unlucky not to be on the end of a hat-trick.”
