BRADFORD Council has warned people with filthy, litter-strewn gardens to clear them up or face hefty fines.
Under tough new laws, householders who fail to clean-up could end up in court slapped with a fine of up to £2,500.
Businesses which dump waste in yards could be forced to pay up to £20,000.
The warning comes as Bradford Council brings in a zero-tolerance crackdown on litterbugs and encourages people to report anyone they see dropping rubbish in public.
Another story, this time from the Bournemouth Echo, tells of the new style 'digital' Argos stores which are now opening their doors.
The new paperless branches have abolished the traditional laminated catalogues, paper slips and pencils in favour of tables of tablets which customers can use to browse a stock of up to 20,000 products.
Items can be ordered for delivery the same day or next day, while online shoppers can also have their goods delivered to the store.
Finally, a man has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of Claudia Lawrence, who disappeared from her home six years ago, on March 18, 2009.
The York Press report that a man, aged in his fifties and from the York area, was arrested yesterday, and searches are currently taking place in connection with the investigation.
Peter Lawrence, Claudia's father, said he welcomed the development.
