MEXICO CITY: One of three tortured bodies found emtombed in concrete has been identified as that of a plastic surgeon who took part in a bungled operation which cost the life of a top drug lord.

The three bodies were found on Monday inside oil drums by the side of the Mexico City-Acapulco highway in the south-western state of Guerrero. Their fingernails had been pulled out. One was Jaime Godoy, an ear, nose and throat specialist. He had carried out a clandestine operation in July to alter the appearance of Mexico's most wanted cocaine lord, Amado Carrillo Fuentes, who died in mysterious circumstances while recovering from the surgery.
