Somehow rousing themselves sufficiently to show up this very evening, it's a wonder that the Wildhearts are around at all, after the numerous splits and enough drink and drugs problems to waylay a herd of wildebeest, never mind four mere mortals. But here they are, still plying their trade with an infectious brand of bubblegum-flavoured Brit-rock to a remarkably resilient fanbase. A recent album might have been entitled The Wildhearts Must Be Destroyed, but they're so indestructible it's likely any nuclear war would render them as sole human survivors, playing in packed stadiums to audiences of enthralled cockroaches.
