THIS Easter the Big Sheep event makes a return to the Almonry Heritage Centre in Evesham for two weeks of all things woolly.

The family friendly event sees children and adults following the Woolly Trail, making themselves a Wee Sheepie and adding their own stitches to the Great Big Almonry Blanket.

This blanket will eventually be raffled off to raise money for the Great Big Almonry Project, which needs £1.7 million to repair and conserve the museum and its exhibits.

The Almonry’s Activity Packs have grown in popularity during recent years, with more visitors discovering more about the incredible heritage here to find in the Vale. Each one costs £1 each and, combined with a trip to the Almonry, will provide a holiday experience that keeps families busy for hours.

Standard admission charges, with each ticket lasting 12 months, and opening times apply. See the website for more details, or contact the office on 01386 446944.

So far the Great Big Almonry Project has been awarded £43,400 of its Heritage Lottery Fund Heritage Grant bid.

The scheme will be able to apply for the full grant amount of £1.35 million at a later date.
