IT will be a case of "mud, glorious mud" tomorrow when military fitness instructors give out free muddy makeovers.

The British Military Fitness (BMF) instructors in Worcester are showing their softer sides by giving out free mud facials after sessions in Worcester Woods Country Park between 6.30pm and 7.30pm tomorrow (Wednesday, April 1).

The facials, with mud from the park, will be offered to anyone who would like to get pampered after their hour-long fitness class.

BMF runs evening sessions on Monday and Wednesday as well as Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings.

Classes are led by former and serving members of the armed forces, who will be adorning the participants’ faces with mud after their workouts and offering rejuvenating hand massages.

Jason Field, Park Manager for BMF in Worcester, said: “BMF sessions are by no means an easy feat so as a reward we wanted to pamper our dedicated members with special mud facials with locally sourced mud straight from the parks themselves.

"It is a common misconception that BMF instructors are too tough, and may even be a little frightening, so we want to show people that we really are softer than you think."
