A MAN is expected to appear at Dumfries Sheriff Court today on two
charges of attempting to murder police officers. It follows an incident
in Ecclefechan, Dumfriesshire, when two police officers are alleged to
have been struck by a motor vehicle. A police spokesman said yesterday:
''A man has been arrested and will face two charges of attempted murder
as well as road traffic offences. The officers were not seriously
injured. A full report is being prepared for the procurator-fiscal.''
