Following last year’s successful event, which saw 250 riders, including Voice editor Jo Barnes, ride 46 miles down the Monmouthshire and Brecon canal from Brecon to Caerleon, the event is back for 2015.
And this year it has a new route taking in some of the most iconic places in Newport.
The bike ride, now in its fourth year, is held to raise much needed funds for St Anne’s Hospice and St Anne’s Hospice Care.
Last year it raised £43,500 and the organisers are keen to smash that amount this year.
This year’s ride, which costs £20 to enter, is being held on June 6.
Riders will be taken on a route from Caerleon passing Newport Castle, the Wave, the Riverfront Theatre, the Transporter Bridge and The Wetlands.
There are routes – one of 18 miles and one of 40 miles – both of which are flat and suitable for intermediate and advanced cyclists. Both routes will be well marshalled.
Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
