A TEENAGER who has lost some of his nearest and dearest to leukaemia will be welcoming some famous faces to his celebrity charity cricket match this summer.

Harry Dyke is a 19-year-old fishmonger, who lives near Bishampton, best known as Harry the fish.

He has organised a celebrity charity cricket match at Ragley Hall on Sunday, June 14 between the world famous Bunbury cricket club, who will be bringing the likes of James and Oliver Phelps, known as the weasly twins in Harry Potter, and former England and Worcestershire opening batsman David Smith, and Mr Dyke's own team, featuring Ryan Sidebottom, Paul Merson former Aston Villa player and TV pundit and Chris Whelan former Worcestershire Bowler and former Stratford CC captain.

The teenage fishmonger, who works at Hillers Farm shop near Dunnington, is trying to raise £20,000 in aid of Leukaemia research and the England Under 15 schools cricket festival.

He said: "I have always been passionate about cricket and I was absolutely delighted to have been asked by Dr David English to arrange this event.

"I decided on leukaemia as it is personal to me as I have lost some of my closest friends and my grandmother to the disease, I am also raising money for it as it is the most common form of cancer for children.

"I decided on a celebrity cricket match because it is one of the most watched games in the world, it is a very strategic game especially a 20/20 game which is what we will be playing. Its fun, it’s exciting and there is plenty of edge of your seat action that will keep you hooked until the final ball.

"I would like to thank Lord and Lady Hertford and Ragley Cricket Club for letting us use there beautiful cricket ground."

There will also be an auction on the day including a guitar signed by songwriter Barry Gibb, a raffle, tombola, live radio coverage of the day, stalls a v.i.p area with champagne canapés, buffet lunch, after dinner speaking afternoon tea and entertainment.

Dr David English, founder of the Bunburys, added: "The Bunburys can't wait to come to Ragley Hall to take on the might of the Harry the fish XI."
